Cookie policy

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that websites place on the user's device (computer, tablet, mobile phone, or other device) when they access them. These files allow the website to recognize the user's device on subsequent visits and remember certain information about the visit, such as preferred language, consent preferences, or other configuration settings, helping to facilitate browsing and improve user experience. Cookies may be first-party (set directly by the domain of the visited website) or third-party (set by a domain different from the visited site, usually external service providers such as analytics tools). According to their duration, a distinction is made between session cookies, which are automatically deleted when the browser is closed, and persistent cookies, which remain stored on the device for a defined period or until manually deleted by the user. In Spain, use of cookies is regulated by Article 22.2 LSSI-CE and, when they involve processing of personal data, by the GDPR.

2. Types of cookies we use

The Site uses two categories of cookies. First, technical or strictly necessary cookies: these are essential for the Site to function properly and for users to browse it. They include the consent preferences cookie, which locally stores the user's decision to accept or reject analytics cookies, preventing the consent banner from appearing on every visit. These cookies do not require user consent, in accordance with Article 22.2 LSSI-CE and AEPD guidelines, and cannot be disabled without affecting the basic functioning of the Site. Second, analytics cookies: these allow us to quantify the number of unique visitors to the Site and analyze browsing behavior (pages visited, time spent, traffic source, etc.) solely for the purpose of generating usage statistics and improving Site performance and content. These cookies require the user's prior informed consent before installation.

3. Third-party cookies

The Site uses Google Analytics 4 (GA4), a web measurement and analytics service provided by Google LLC, located at 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, United States. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect information on Site usage in a statistical and anonymous manner. IAC Studios has enabled IP anonymization (IP Anonymization), so that the user's IP address is truncated before being stored by Google, preventing direct identification. Information collected by Google Analytics cookies includes, among other data, number of visits, pages viewed, time spent on the Site, device and browser used, and traffic source. This data is transmitted to Google's servers. Google LLC is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, which ensures an adequate level of protection under the GDPR for international data transfers. You can consult Google's privacy policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy and further information about Google Analytics at https://support.google.com/analytics.

4. How to manage cookies

Users may manage cookies through the cookie preferences panel available on the Site, accessible from the link provided in the footer, where analytics cookies can be accepted or rejected at any time. Additionally, most browsers allow users to configure cookie preferences directly from browser settings, enabling acceptance, rejection, or notifications when a website attempts to install cookies. Below are references to instructions for major browsers: Google Chrome, from Settings > Privacy and security > Cookies and other site data; Mozilla Firefox, from Options > Privacy and Security > Cookies and Site Data; Apple Safari, from Preferences > Privacy; and Microsoft Edge, from Settings > Cookies and site permissions. Please note that disabling certain cookies may affect proper operation of the Site. Disabling analytics cookies does not prevent access to Site content, but IAC Studios will not be able to collect anonymous statistical information about visits.

5. How to withdraw consent

If you have previously granted consent for the use of analytics cookies, you may withdraw it at any time without justification, with effect from that moment onward. To do so, you may: (a) use the Site cookie management panel, accessible from the footer link, where you can modify consent preferences; (b) configure your browser to block third-party cookies or delete already stored cookies, following the instructions described above; or (c) install the Google Analytics browser opt-out add-on, available free of charge at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout, which prevents Google Analytics code from collecting and sending information about your visit. Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out prior to withdrawal. Once consent is withdrawn, IAC Studios will stop installing analytics cookies on your device until you provide consent again voluntarily and in an informed manner.
